DI vs FTIR

well... its come to the time to really decide on whether to go the DI route, or the FTIR route!

i think ive finally decided on DI, as there is no need for compliant surfaces, also glass can be used as the surface!

but to be honest i think the most deciding factor was the ability to recognise objects placed on the surface - for example fiducial markers:

ok, well... I've been researching tons about multi touch now, and have decided to proceed with making my own :)

I'm currently a student studying BSc Multimedia Computing, and am very much interested in creating new interfaces using this technology!
